Despite
the size of agricultural machinery and construction equipment (including
forklifts, trailers, trucks, forrest, snow, mining equipment and machinery) as
well as the parts of equipment being coated, the powder coating process can be
carried out in an industrial environment by assembling several components in
advance. With the composite construction often found in this industry, a broad
range of parts made of substrates such as aluminum, steel and galvanized steel
are used. Depending on the equipment end use, PoosheshFam polyester-based
powder coatings are recommended for aluminum substrates. For steel parts;
threatened by corrosion, a two-coat system is recommended (the system comprises
a corrosion-protecting powder primer and a polyester powder top coat). The
application of fillers for the removal of substrate defects can generally be
relinquished with the use of powder coatings. Due to the high coating thickness
achieved compared to liquid top coats, coverage is significantly better.
Optimal quality characteristics, in particular the high mechanical resistance
and excellent edge protection, can be realized by applying even a single-coat
system.
